Acacia Ridge is our favourite wedding reception venue in the Yarra Valley. Not only does it boast stunning views, a rustic barn for indoor ceremonies, and a large clear marquee for a gorgeous reception under the stars, but the staff there are friendly, fun and down to earth. Contact UsJosef had a big bunch of groomsmen, which included his lovely little brother, and they all got ready at his family home. Normally we'd spend about an hour to capture both video and photo at groom prep, but with a larger bridal party, we needed a bit longer.
Then it was off to Stephanie's home where there was a lot of excitement and activity with 6 bridesmaids getting hair and makeup done. We love the bridesmaids first look photo!
Stephanie and Josef had originally planned for an outdoor wedding, but with the weather turning, they moved the ceremony into the Acacia Ridge barn, which was a lovely, rustic space that easily catered for their 200+ guests. Don't you just love the kombi that Stephanie arrived in?
We love the Acacia Ridge vineyards as there's so much more open space than many other venues. The lawn from the marquee deck flows into the vineyard rows making it so much easier for brides and bridesmaids wearing heels to walk down.
The massive clear marquee at Acacia Ridge is a beautiful way to dine and dance with your guests into the night. And speaking of dancing, these guys really put on a show! It wasn't just Stephanie and Josef, but also her dad who delighted guests with a fun choreographed father-daughter dance. Watch the video below to see them bust a move!
