When Rachel called us, she told us that she wasn't going to have a wedding photographer and only wanted a videographer instead. I felt it would be a shame to not have any photos at all and suggested that we use one of our videographers to take some photos whenever we could. This would keep cost down and she'd at least have a few photos. As you can see from this album, we captured a beautiful series of images and are thrilled that they agreed with our suggestion! Oh and don't forget to watch their video!
Contact UsThe day began at Stephen's home where both he and his brother were getting ready. It was great to see they got along so well, and also how close Rachel and her sister were. It was therefore fitting that these four formed the bridal party for this special day.
From Stephen's place we went to Rachel's family home where she and her sister were getting their makeup done. We always try to arrive towards the end of the makeup session to catch the finishing touches, and we get to shoot through the make-up artist's ring light.
Stephen's dad works at Citylife Church Knox and manages events there, so it was the obvious venue for this wedding, as he got his team of decorators and caterers to create a wonderful setting. Oh, it's also always a laugh when flower girls are replaced by guys throwing petals.
From Knox it was off to the gorgeous Cloudehill Gardens up in Olinda for some wedding portraits. Because they had also organised their reception to be at the Seasons restaurant there, it meant the entire family could join the bridal party in the garden for some group photos. We love Cloudehill Gardens! Once again, remember that Rachel didn't want a photographer at her wedding. I'm so glad we were there to capture these beautiful images!
The Seasons restaurant at Cloudehill is a cozy venue suitable for a small reception and was perfect for Rachel and Stephen.
Rachel had requested that instead of producing both a Feature Video and an Extended Video for her, she preferred a single Feature Video that was longer and included the highlights of the speeches. Even though it takes us longer to edit this style of video, we love the result, as the words from the speeches contain emotion and sentiment that give the video a wonderful feel.
