Bethany and Shian had a lovely garden wedding in the Dandenong Ranges. Being a shorter wedding, they had requested a 4 hour elopement package including both photography and videography.
The garden at the AirBnB was delightful, and a perfect setting for their special day. After the ceremony, we brought them to Poet's Lane for a change of scenery and to capture some gorgeous wedding portraits. Be sure to watch their video at the bottom of the album!
Beth and her bridesmaids were getting ready in Olinda this Sunday morning - a short drive from where the ceremony would be. The weather forecast wasn't great, and when we arrived, it was already raining, but we were hopeful we'd get some sunshine for this outdoor ceremony.
A familiar face greeted us. Alex whom we had done a wedding video for last year at Zonzo Estate, was one of Beth's bridesmaids. In fact, this is the third wedding we're doing with Alex in the bridal party!
Beth and Shian had planned a garden wedding at an AirBnB with around 25 guests. This was where Shian was getting ready, so we headed over to get some final prep shots and to set up the audio to record the vows for the video.
It had been raining right up to the time of the ceremony, but because their wedding was pretty casual, it was easy enough to push things back half an hour to wait out the rain. As soon as the skies cleared, out came the PA system, the chairs were wiped dry and guests were seated and ready! We'll place more photos here soon.
To create more variety in our photos, we suggested going to a location that didn't look so "gardeny". Poet's Lane was only 5 minutes away, so we drove there with Beth and Shian for some portraits of just the two of them. We used Poet's Lane, i.e. the lane itself, not the wedding reception venue!
For a shorter 4-5 hour wedding, we often adjust our video package to only contain a Feature Video, like the one you see below. Our full video package also contains an Extended Video, great for longer weddings where we'd capture all the speeches at the reception.
