Vue on Halcyon is a fairly new wedding venue set on the edge of the Yarra Valley. It has a lovely chapel within the vineyard and a restaurant at the top of the hill with spectacular vistas. But views aside, we remember Nicholas and Tess' wedding because of the sincerity of their vows. Their life experience shone through their words and it was beautiful having their respective children and grandchildren supporting them. It was a pleasure to capture all of this on video and photos that we know their entire family will treasure.
Contact UsTess was getting ready at the Yarra Valley Lodge where her daughter and granddaughters helped each other with hair and makeup. It was a simple, meaningful family time followed by some portraits around the foyer of the lodge before heading off to get married!
It's a lovely drive from the main gate of Vue on Halcyon, and from there, a gentle walk for Tess down the path into the sun-filled chapel where Nic was waiting.
There's a lot of open space for group shots, and great photo opportunities among the bales of hay and vineyard for wedding portraits - all within a few steps of the dining hall. So straight after the ceremony we got a few key shots that Tess wanted, then it was straight into the fun of the evening!
